We had eight years of bush and cheney, and now you get mad

Thanks to Naptime Nostalgia for this blog, and thanks to L'adunata for bringing it to my attention. Agreed, Naptime.

Gymkhana

Well, we went out to Miller Motorsports Park today to watch the drifters and Gymkhana (click for definition). Gymkhana (autocross) was being run in the west paddock while drifting was in the north paddock. Well, after a little coaxing by my friends and Mrs. Gearhead, I decided to run the Gymkhana. Click on the picture here to see how the track was set up. First time out "racing" and I don't think I did to bad, the best time for this run today was about 55 seconds. I ran it in Mrs. Gearheads Nissan SE-R with a best time of 59.5 seconds. I like the way the car felt, the slalom was a blast. The figure eight was a pain though, and the tight turn was exhilarating. All in all I enjoyed it, I think I will be doing this one again.

Anybody for some Pi?

I like going to Google. You find out there are "days" for things you would have never thought of. And they design their logo for the day of the day. Mouse over the logo and it tells you what day it is. Today I found this "Google" logo. I thought quite cool looking logo, but what is it, national blueprint day? Mouse over and I got "Pi day". Anyhow,

Happy Pi day all

How to Train Your Dragon

Yesterday we went to the premier of "How to Train Your Dragon". The movie was well put together. We saw it in 3D, and although the 3D effects were good, the producers didn't depend on the them to make the movie a success. The design and the movements of the dragons were fantastic. The plot was thought out, the character building was done well, and the story line was easy to follow. The movie did not seem extremely predictable either. If you like most DreamWorks movies, this one is a must see. I would enjoy it in 3D, but I don't think you will lose a lot if you don't. Two high fives on this one.
