Well, the Mrs. and I spent the day at the shop while cars were being measured for wheel horsepower (WHP) and wheel torque (WTQ) on the dynomometer (dyno). On our frequented local internet forum this is called "Dyno Day". For those interested in getting a car to move down the 1/4 mile quicker (drag strip racing), this is a tool to help. The car is pulled into the bay and strapped down to the ground, as we are doing in the picture with the blue car, placed on this wheel that measures WHP/WTQ. I spent a good portion of the day running the cars on the dyno. I get the car up to speed, then just floor the accelerator until the tachometer reaches redline, then let go. Interesting way to spend the day.
Saw these wires on the way home, needed some pics for the theme

The dynomometer is indeed a unique take on the parallel theme that most people never get to see but I love the phone wires. I so should have thought of that.
I've just loved seeing the variety of interpretations of this theme. It seemed at first to be a major challenge but everyone's had so many different ideas and it's been great.
Sentra SE-R Spec V?
Love that blue...and love the car. The whole wolf-in-sheep's-clothing thing works for me. My first new car was a Honda Civic Si, and I bought it for precisely that reason.
Great eye Carmi, most wouldn't recognize it as an SE-R. It is the sleepers that I like the best. We actually got involved with this group because my wife bought a 91 SE-R, she wasn't sure what it was at the time, now she gets down if she can't drive it for a couple weeks.
The '91 SE-R was a true classic. I remember when they first released it...no one could believe that an unassuming economy car could have a then-unheard-of 140 hp and a suspension that allowed it to embarrass dedicated sports cars.
That car was a groundbreaker, and I'm so glad they've continued the line for so long.
Well, hers has been amazing. It has over 260,000 miles / 418,000 Km and still runs great. We have added a header and downpipe, 2 1/2" exhaust and now it is putting down 130 whp, before we did anything it was 111 whp. We also upgraded the suspension. We have some really nice canyon drives around here and I take it up them any chance I have. We really can push it around the turns.
